Before you start your fundraising journey

How are you going to Fundraise?

Think of an idea that suits you. Some people like to shave their heads, others challenge themselves to run a marathon and some forego their birthday presents.

Consider fundraising as a group of friends

A team of friends can support and help each other to stay motivated. You can start a group when you register or at a later date.

Set a fundraising goal

You’ll be amazed at the impact you can make once you get started.

Create your personal fundraising page

Once you’ve got your idea, go for it! Create your fundraiser by clicking the button at the top of this page.

You have created your fundraising, what’s next?

Now you have set up your fundraising page, how do you put the word out and start getting donations? Here are some tips to help you with your journey.

Add a profile image

People like to see who they are donating to.

Tell your story

Let your supporters know why you are fundraising for the Redcliffe Hospital.

Be the first to make a donation

By donating to your own fundraising page you are showing your commitment to your fundraising and setting the benchmark for other donations.

Get the word out

Share your fundraising page with your existing network of friends, workmates or any other contacts you have. The quickest and easiest way is to share your page’s URL by email, text and your social media networks. Facebook and Twitter work particularly well for this.

A thank you goes a long way

Thank your donors for their support through your fundraising page.

Ask Again

People often need reminding. If you’ve asked your network once and they haven’t donated, ask again! They may have forgotten and won’t begrudge a friendly reminder. And don’t be afraid to ask after you’ve completed your event, almost 20% of donations come in after the challenge is over!
